Terms of service

Banking Converter converts PDF bank statements you upload into data files (CSV, Excel, JSON, OFX, QBO) and reports the results of reconciliation checks on the extracted data. The service reads documents; it does not connect to your bank and never asks for banking credentials.

You need an account with a verified email address to convert and download. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Organisations may add members; each member acts on behalf of the organisation.

You may upload only documents you are entitled to process. You may not use the service to process documents obtained without authorisation, to attempt to defeat security controls, to probe or overload the service, or to resell conversions without a written agreement. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.

The free plan includes 25 pages per month with no card, converts to CSV, Excel only, and does not include password-protected PDFs. Paid plans include a monthly page allowance, additional formats and features as described on the pricing page; page packs add credits that do not expire with the month. A conversion charges its page count once, when it is started; retries of failed conversions are not charged again. Subscriptions renew until cancelled through the billing portal. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refund requests are handled by email on a case-by-case basis.

The service reconciles extracted data against the statement's printed balances and reports confidence and issues, but extraction from PDFs, and especially from scans, can contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing conversions before relying on them for accounting, tax, lending or any other decision. The service does not provide financial, legal or tax advice.

You retain all rights to your documents and the data extracted from them. We process them only to provide the service, under the privacy policy and, for business customers, the data processing terms. Files are deleted on the schedule described there; you can delete them earlier at any time.

We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee it. Current status is shown on the status page. We may change or discontinue features with notice on the changelog; material changes to paid features are announced in advance.

The service is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from reliance on conversions that were not reviewed. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

You can close your account at any time from settings; conversions and files are deleted on closure. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms or where required by law.
